Camros Organic Eatery

August 12, 2011

I have to be honest – I have been to Camros before. However, in the past I always forgot my camera. Well I finally caught up to 2007, and got myself a Smart Phone (iPhone if you were wondering). So now, I am able to take pics as I go along. Which means the next time I go somewhere I like (such as Camros), I can take my pics and blog about it!

For those in Toronto, the location could not be more convenient – it is located at 25 Hayden Street. Where is that you ask? Why, it is at Yonge & Bloor!

The convenience is taking the subway. If you are heading north (like I was), sit at the back of the train (or if you are heading south, sit at the front). At Bloor station, get off the train, and go up the stairs that are immediately where you are. That will bring you to the less-crazy exits from the subway. Now, when you get out of the subway, there is an exit onto Hayden, and Camros is across the street. Super easy!

Anyway, the place is hot-table style. They usually have 8 or 9 different things on the go, and they are all organic, and best of all – every ingredient is listed, so you know what you are getting.

They have wonderful foods I love like Kale, Quinoa, and loads of beans. There are hot dishes, cold dishes, and even desserts. It works like those greasy Chinese Food establishments – you get a combo of 2, 3, 4, or a soup and salad combo.

This time, I got a Black-eyed pea & squash stew, a Quinoa salad, and a white bean salad. Yummy!
