Pecan Butter

Another purchase from the Vegan Grocery store. As I said in the past (like, in the old food fotos section of the site), I had switched to nut butters. Well, when we were at Panacea, we picked this up. Had not had pecans before.

At first, it is very thick. I don’t think you could spread it on something like fresh bread – too soft. Works much better on toast. I had taken a liking to Spelt Raisin Bread, so I tend to spread it on that.

When you combine the smells and flavours of raisins and pecans, you essentially get butter tart toast! Not too bad at all.

Overall, the Pecan Butter is more like dessert than a spread for breakfast and lunch…then again, who says having dessert for breakfast is a bad thing???
